Cupping Therapy FAQs

8. What is cupping therapy?

Cupping therapy is an ancient technique that uses suction cups to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote healing. We offer wet, dry, fire, and massage cupping to target different needs.

9. What is the difference between wet, dry, fire, and massage cupping?

• Wet Cupping (Hijama) – Includes small incisions to remove toxins from the body.
• Dry Cupping – Uses suction without incisions to promote blood flow and muscle relaxation.
• Fire Cupping – Uses heated cups to create suction, helping with deep muscle release.
• Massage Cupping – Involves moving the cups along muscles for a deep-tissue effect.

10. Does cupping therapy hurt?

Cupping therapy should not be painful. Some people feel slight discomfort due to the suction, but it’s usually a relaxing experience. Wet cupping may cause a mild stinging sensation when incisions are made.

11. Will cupping leave marks?

Yes, cupping can leave circular marks or bruises due to the suction pulling up stagnant blood. These marks typically fade within a few days to two weeks. They are not painful and are a sign of improved circulation.

12. How often should I get cupping therapy?

This depends on your goals. Some people benefit from weekly sessions on varying body parts while others do monthly maintenance. We can recommend a plan based on your needs.

13. Are there any side effects of cupping therapy?

Side effects are minimal, but some people experience mild bruising, redness, or lightheadedness after a session. Staying hydrated and resting after treatment can help.

Massage Therapy FAQs

14. What’s the difference between sports massage and deep tissue massage?

• Sports Massage – Focuses on injury prevention, muscle recovery, and performance enhancement, ideal for athletes or active individuals.
• Deep Tissue Massage – Uses firm pressure to release muscle knots, improve circulation, and relieve chronic pain. Great for stress and tension relief.

15. How often should I get a massage?

It depends on your lifestyle and goals:
• For pain relief or injury rehab – Weekly or biweekly sessions may be best.
• For maintenance & relaxation – Once a month is typically enough.
We’ll customize a plan based on your needs.

16. Do I need to prepare for my massage?

No special preparation is needed, but we recommend:
- Staying hydrated before your session
- Wearing loose, comfortable clothing
- Avoiding large meals right before your appointment

17. Can I exercise after a massage?
